SPRC Suicide Prevention Regional Planning Conference

Conference Goal: This event intends to provide an opportunity for skill-building and networking among participants in these states. The conference will draw upon local and national expertise to help move suicide prevention planning, implementation and evaluation efforts forward.

Conference Objectives:

  • Provide opportunities to share evidence-based practices and experiences in suicide prevention planning, program implementation, and evaluation
  • Provide technical assistance for suicide prevention planning
  • Build capacity for planning, implementation, and evaluation of suicide prevention plans and programs
  • Strengthen relationships between coalition members from different federal, state and local agencies and community groups that will be instrumental in sustaining the coalition's effectiveness as well as sustainability of the plan itself
  • Facilitate networking among state team members and also between participants from different states
  • Enhance and strengthen partnerships with special populations
The conference looks to achieve its broad goal by offering information presented in a variety of formats, inviting national and local experts to share their knowledge and experiences, and providing a venue for a diverse group of state suicide prevention planners and advocates to come together and collaborate.
