| Preventing youth suicide in rural America: Recommendations to states | 2008 | |
SPRC and the State and Territorial Injury Prevention Directors Association formed a workgroup to generate recommendations to prevent suicide among rural youth. This report details the recommendations for state-level agencies to address promoting help-seeking behaviors, data and surveillance, services, screening and identification, gatekeeper training, bereavement, and survivor issues.

These recommendations were developed for SAMHSA grantees and others interested in implementing community-based youth suicide prevention training. Recommendations are intended to specifically address gatekeeper training that is designed to equip members of the community to identify youth with an increased potential for suicide and refer them to appropriate sources of help. | ||
