Kim Walton is Chief Operations and Clinical Officer for Behavioral Health at the Community Health Network (CHN) in Indiana. Becoming Better Listeners: One Health Care Organization’s Experience of Committing to the Zero Suicide Approach describes how CHN implemented a system-wide Zero Suicide initiative. This effort included sending members of CHN’s executive leadership team to participate in the Zero Suicide Academy, convening representatives of stakeholder groups to support the effort, and working to address organizational culture, workforce development, care transitions, and other aspects of CHN’s response to patients at risk for suicide.
