RHODE ISLAND: Is Your Home Suicide-Proof?

Rhode Island’s Suicide-Proofing Initiative teaches parents simple steps they can take to reduce the likelihood of suicide by preventing access to lethal means of suicide in the home. The initiative’s interactive website shows how to suicide-proof each room in the house. The program also features posters, brochures in English and Spanish, and public service announcements for radio and television. This initiative is a partnership between the Rhode Island Department of Health and the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence.
