Diana Cortez is a suicide prevention advocate who shared her personal story with SPRC in the hope of improving interactions between health care providers and patients. The Moment I Felt Hope describes how her experiences of struggling with suicide provided Ms. Cortez with insight on why health care systems should adopt a comprehensive suicide care approach to better identify, care for, and meet the needs of patients.
