Recent Developments:
- 2008 – Suicide Prevention Day was held in Atlanta at the Capitol in Atlanta on March 6. Miss Teen Georgia, who is working with Marti Vogt, chair of the SPCGA, has chosen suicide as her platform.
- 2008 – A conference focused on taking a public health approach to suicide prevention on colleges and universities in Georgia was held in Athens on February 27-28 at the University of Georgia.
- 2007 – The 2nd Georgia Suicide Prevention Stakeholders Symposium: Sustaining the Momentum was held on April 25-26 in Callaway Gardens to develop and prioritize a sustainable action plan for suicide prevention. The symposium was planned by members of the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Georgia and attended by coalition members and their partners from around the state.
