- Nevada has hired a State Suicide Prevention Coordinator and a Southern Nevada Suicide Prevention Trainer/Facilitator
- State grantee of Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Act (SAMHSA) funding
- Nevada is working to obtain funding for a state coordinator position and laying groundwork for developing the state plan

Legislation/Resolutions:
- State Assembly Bill 584 – establishing a suicide prevention curriculum in Nevada public schools
- Senate Bill No. 36 – authorizing regional training programs for the professional development of teachers and administrators to facilitate access to information concerning issues related to suicide among pupils
- Senate Bill No. 49 – creating a Statewide Program for Suicide Prevention within the office of the Director of the Department of Human Resources; creating positions within the Statewide Program for Suicide Prevention to coordinate the Statewide Program and to provide training and facilitate networking relating to suicide prevention in certain counties
- Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 3 – urging each community in Nevada to form a coalition of agencies and service providers to reduce the number of suicides and provide support for survivors
- Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 4 – urging the Clark County Health District to plan and coordinate a public information campaign relating to suicide prevention and expand injury prevention efforts in Clark County
- Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 5 – urging agencies in Clark County to cooperate in the establishment of a plan for suicide prevention in Clark County
