Legislation/Resolutions:
- 2009 – Appropriation Bill SB 2004 – North Dakota State Legislature allocated $250,000 to the North Dakota Department of Health for the 2009-2011 biennium to fund suicide prevention activities for all ages statewide.
- 2007 – Resolution No. 4032 – North Dakota Legislature 2007 passed Senate Concurrent Resolution No.
4032: That the Legislative Council study ways in which schools and school districts can train teachers, counselors, and all other school staff to better identify high-risk students and ways in which schools and school districts can plan and provide programs designed to reduce the incidences of high-risk behaviors that can lead to suicide attempts; and that the Legislative Council report its finding and recommendations, together with any legislation required to implement the recommendations, to the Sixty-first Legislative Assembly.
