  • Police Academy on Improving Services for Youth with Mental Health and Co-Occurring Substance Use Disorders Involved with the Juvenile Justice System. Applications are due June 24, 2005. This Police Academy will be held Sept. 13-15, 2005, in Bethesda, MD. The academy, which will be conducted by the National Center for Mental Health and Juvenile Justice, is designed to provide selected jurisdictions with the opportunity to foster collaboration and improve service delivery to youth involved with the juvenile justice system who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

  • SAMHSA has announced the online availability of Mental Health Trends: A Periodic Briefing. The briefing is intended to keep mental health partners up to date on emerging issues, practices and trends. The publication is available at www.samhsa.gov/matrix/matrix_mh.aspx.

  • Rebroadcast of Grants.gov's "Spread the Word" Webcast
    Due to overwhelming response to Grants.gov's "Spread the Word" Webcast aired on March 9th, Grants.gov will be rebroadcasting the event on April 21st at 2pm EST. The encore Webcast presentation will also feature a live Program update and an extended Question & Answer session conducted by members of the Grants.gov Program Management Office.

    Mark your calendars for April 21st at 2:00 pm EST! First time users will need to fill out the registration form. Also, please note that if you registered for the March 9th "Spread the Word" Webcast, you will not need to re-register for the encore presentation. On the day of the event, simply enter your e-mail address, then press submit to access the Webcast.

    Once registration is complete, a confirmation email will be sent to you, verifying your participation in the Webcast and providing you the information you need to participate.
