Jarrod Hindman, MS

Jarod Hindman is the Violence and Suicide Prevention Section manager in the Violence and Injury Prevention-Mental Health Promotion Branch at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Mr. Hindman oversees violence and suicide prevention programs, including the Office of Suicide Prevention, Sexual Violence Prevention Program, and Essentials for Childhood: Creating Safe, Stable, and Nurturing Relationships and Environments project.

Mr. Hindman directs the Office of Suicide Prevention, which is responsible for serving as the lead entity for suicide prevention and intervention efforts, and collaborating with Colorado communities to reduce the number of suicide deaths and attempts statewide. Mr. Hindman also serves as the public co-chair of the Suicide Prevention Commission of Colorado, which was created in 2014 and charged with setting suicide prevention priorities and expanding public and private support for suicide prevention statewide.
